The Education, Equipping, and Empowerment Committee provides programs to enrich and educate the presbytery through our annual Winterfest half-day conference, proposed General Assembly amendments, and Tapestry Youth Ministry Collective of San Gabriel Presbytery. The committee also undertakes special projects to help the churches of the presbytery thrive in their ministries.<\/p>\n

Dr. Dongwoo Lee is an ordained pastor at PCUSA. He is a member of San Gabriel Presbytery and has served several Commissions and Committees. He is currently serving the Commission on Preparation for the Ministry. He is a former Head Associate\/Senior pastor for the Korean Language Ministry at Pasadena Presbyterian Church. He is a former Co-Convener of Presbyterian Peace Network for Korea. Rev. Dr. Lee is a scholar and theologian in comparative theology and philosophy, process thoughts, systematic theology, contextual and Asian theology, and postcolonialism. He is a director of Korea program at Center for Process Studies and an executive director of EcoCiv Korea at Institute for Ecological Civilization. He is an author of several books. His latest book, \u2018Imagining Post- Pandemic Meta-Church\u2019 which was published in South Korea in September, 2021 became the number one bestselling E-book in the section of religion at Ridibooks.com (Korean E- book store) He enjoys hiking trails and watching movies with his wife. Dr. Terry McGonigal moved to Pasadena last year after serving for 27 years at Whitworth University in Spokane, WA, 20 years as Dean of Spiritual Life and Campus Pastor and 7 years as the Director of the Office of Church Engagement (OCE). The OCE partners with churches to equip disciples and engage culture with the Good News of Jesus. Terry coordinated 6 different Lilly Endowment grants to enable the University to provide ministry support for churches. The current work is examining \u201cResilient Church\u201d, how churches navigated the pandemic with innovative ministry approaches that have become a springboard into engaging forms of ministry to
