PRESBYTERY OF SAN GABRIEL TO BE HONORED AT ANNUAL MONTE VISTA HOMES GALA

Several clergy members of this Presbytery reside at Monte Vista Grove Homes .  And, a number of those pastors, although “officially” retired, remain active in numerous ways in the Presbytery. Also, in the current year; the “Chaplain for Retired Presbyterian Church Workers,” Lauren Evans, now supports those pastors who reside at the Grove as well as throughout San Gabriel Presbytery, by invitation of Monte Vista Grove and through the generous support of the House of Rest.

 In recognition of the numerous ways that the Presbytery and the Grove are ministry partners, San Gabriel Presbytery will be one of two honorees at this year’s annual MVGH Gala.  The second honoree at that event is also an active leader in the Presbytery – the Rev. Dr. Jeff O’Grady – pastor of San Marino Community (Presbyterian) Church.

The Gala will be held at Descanso Gardens, in La Canada, on Saturday June 22, beginning at 6 pm.  The evening will feature food and fellowship, along with several different types of “auction” possibilities. The Presbytery is sponsoring a table at the event, and several of the active members of the Presbytery will be seated at that table.
